Tip Sheet #11: Y’Chi: Focus of energy through your eyes

Y is the ability to direct your chi towards a visual “goal” through the use of your eyes. So, Y’chi (“eeChi”) is the skill of directing all of the energies and movement in your body through the focus of your eyes. Visualize a cat stalking a bird, quietly creeping toward the bird – the cat’s limbs move, but its gaze never leaves the bird. The cat’s y’chi is pulling it forward.

Simple, powerful and effective for efficiency and speed.

All the great athletes utilize y’chi whether they know it or not. In soccer the players never takes their eyes off the ball. In hockey it’s the puck.
